“The Islanders attracted millions of fans through the turnstiles of Honolulu Stadium in slightly less than six seasons - a feat rarely matched at the minor league level in this era of “big league or nothing.” As they embark on their ninth campaign, they had played before 1,547,838 fans, including a listed record attendance of 255,569 last season.”
