1979-1980 University of Hawaii Rainbows Mens Basketball Shorts

True to the game and inspired from University of Hawaii Basketball Alumni Cliff Sanchez’s original uniform, Old Queen Street Stadium has partnered up with Ripon/Sandknit to faithfully create this 1979 - 1980 University of Hawaii Basketball shorts. We dare not to call this a retro as the shorts were woven from the same materials from the 1970s.

History:

During the 1979-1980 campaign, the University of Hawaii Rainbows advanced to the finals of the Rainbow Classic.

• Sewn-on tackle twill graphics

• 6” inseam

• 2” Rib knit waistband

• Custom four color Rainbow tackle twill side inserts

• Two color tackle twill block “H"

• Sewn on Old Queen Street Stadium x Sand Knit Label

• Made in the USA

• The jersey was recreated using Clifford Sanchez’s original jersey as reference

• Only 24 produced

• Officially licensed by the University of Hawaii
